The Brief
We’re proud to have assisted Salisbury City Council with the development of their new Brand Toolkit website as part of their wider rebranding efforts. Our brief was to collaborate with Pavement Creative and provide our expertise in information architecture, site mapping, and website development to deliver a brand website that would help build and highlight the city while providing information on how local independent businesses could get involved.
Throughout the project, we worked with Pavement Creative as their development partner to ensure a seamless integration of design and functionality. Our team was responsible for the technical development of the website, ensuring the site was user-friendly, accessible, and easy to navigate. Additionally, we focused on delivering a website that aligned with the city’s brand guidelines, while showcasing the unique character and charm of Salisbury.
Our objective
Information Architecture
We understand that a successful website begins with a solid information architecture. That’s why our first step in the website development process is to create an in-depth information architecture document that provides a clear and user-friendly information hierarchy for the website. We believe that this is the foundation upon which a website can be built that truly meets the needs of its users.
Sitemap & Wire framing
Once we’ve established the information architecture, our team works to develop a clear sitemap and wireframe for the website. This allows us to work collaboratively with Pavement Creative to visualise the website, outlining all webpages and their content structure. Our interactive wireframes are a valuable tool that provide a visual representation of the finished product prior to design. This allows marketing and design teams to prepare content and designs with confidence, knowing that the final product will meet the clients needs.
Website Development
We understand that the website development process is a collaborative effort. That’s why we work closely with our clients to ensure that the final product meets their needs and exceeds their expectations. Our team delivered the website within the WordPress CMS, providing a feature-rich and intuitive platform that allows for growth and flexibility. We also developed a bespoke brand toolkit scoring questionnaire that allows individuals to check if they reflect the brand values and guiding principles. This helps to ensure that the website truly reflects the brand and provides a consistent user experience.
What we achieved
We are thrilled to announce the successful launch of the new website for Salisbury. Our team worked to create a website that truly reflects the city’s unique character and highlights what makes Salisbury special. The finished product provides Salisbury with the content and tools they need to spread the word about Salisbury and attract business to build the cities brand.
The result was a stunning website that provided valuable information champion the virtues of Salisbury. The website effectively highlights the city’s offerings and encourages businesses to get involved with the brand. We’re proud to have played a part in the project’s success and to have helped Salisbury City Council to achieve their goals.
Overall, our collaboration with Pavement Creative and Salisbury City Council was a great success, and we’re thrilled to have been a part of such an exciting project.
